Starlight Walk on Thursday 2nd April at 7.30pm
The Hospice Walk takes place every year and attracts many thousands of people, including quite a number of walkers who choose to specifically walk in memory of a loved one. This has made us realise that this is something that is meaningful and important to individuals and families who want to remember their loved ones and at the same time support the work of the hospice. With this in mind and building upon the success of last year’s Starlight Walk, we plan to hold the Starlight Walk again.
This year the Starlight Walk will take place on Thursday 2nd April starting at 7.30pm from the Central Hall, Rosemary Street, Belfast and follow a route around Belfast City Centre, finishing back at the Central Hall with a welcome hot drink. The walk is just over 2 miles; however a shorter route can be arranged if required. A short time of reflection will then be held in the hall to remember all those loved ones who were (and still are) an important part of our lives.
All those that sign up to take part in the Starlight Walk will receive a memory card which you can personalise with the name of your loved one, or maybe even a photograph. We hope then that on the night, all the Starlight Walkers will wear or carry their card with pride as they take part in the walk. Also in the registration pack will be sponsor forms to enable others to support the walkers.
